Use the old pads to push the piston back in, not the new ones. Make sure you haven't topped off the reservoir to compensate for old pad wear or its going to overflow when you push the pistons in.

When doing a pps reset I got the same symptoms. Followed the procedure except I didn't hold slight pressure closed throttle position. Did it again with pressure and it made a world of difference.
Needless to say, I didn't bite.......just a heads up.

#1: After installing comfort kit on 06 Uly, it is recommended that the EEPROM be updated. Does this change any mapping etc, or is it just fan logic?

The newest bearings have black seals, again. Look for B-suffix on P/N. ASB is the place for parts and expert advice
Sweet. Just don't do what I did..got a second one! I have 7 bikes and they're all gathering dust except the Uly's. Even my prized 70 Norton Commando gets Sunday action only :)
Installed comfort kit. Seat was hotter than before. Used aluminum tape to seal the gap between the new shroud and shock cover. Big diff. The airflow kit helps also.
Looking for a Camo flyscreen for 07 Uly. Marine I bought my bike from donated his to a wounded Marine who was piecing together a Camo Uly.

Found a new 3 bearing wheel for the 06 for $300 and change with bearings. Did the belt just for good measure. 07 Uly has only 9k miles and I'm watching that bearing like a hawk. Interestlingly...
06 Uly. Front bearings started growling at 13500. Replaced. Sprocket side rear failed today on the freeway at 80 mph. Got it to shoulder and towed. 15500 miles. Took out the spacer and who knows what...
