They do look similar don't they? :D
I ended up going with these. You lose the original look of the Firebolt but they don't look bad, at least imo.

I'm in the same boat. Mine snapped off today at the rubber piece from aging. Looks like I may have to tape it back until we find some that fit...
So I guess... misprint? lol
I know this is a very old thread but I figured I would just add to it rather than starting a new one. My shop manual for my 04 xb12r states to use a good quality "LEADED or unleaded" fuel. Why would...
Glad I gave you a laugh...
Thanks for all the serious comments from OG members:up:
Yea you are wasting time with that comment. Did I ask you to be a prick? No I didn't. I ran the bike for like 5 seconds. That won't foul the plugs. What fouls plugs is letting it sit there idling for...
So I put in some new NGK Iridium plugs after removing the black sooted stockers and it actually crunk up. I ran it for just a sec and switched it off as I didn't want to possibly foul the new plugs....
I also verified that there is only a single outlet on this muffler so that would make it a stock muffler. I have no idea why they slapped a race ecm on the bike with no mods... weird
Thanks Cooter, I will get started with this helpful info. I actually have a hard copy of the shop manual that I got when I bought the bike and I have already been looking through some of the flow...
Folks I have a beautiful 2004 XB12r that I have really enjoyed riding but it's been out of commission for about a year now and I'm getting that itch to ride, especially with the weather getting nice...
Not knocking the idea, but why would anyone want to go through the trouble when a belt drive is so nice?
Thanks for the help TapRoot, thankfully it ended up being a simple blown ignition fuse which I've replaced and got some xtras. I also purchase a new service manual which I'm really glad that I have a...
I used to own a Lightning 12s back in the day, now I have an 04 XB12r. I just bought this bike about two weeks ago. It only has 3800 miles on it but it obviously has some age. So I pull up at a...
I have just gotten an offer of 4000 and I've just decided to take it. I thought that Buells would have increased in value since they're no longer being made but they've actually went down.
Just wondering what all you Buell experts:D think about my asking price for my 2004 XB12S. Here's the craigslist link: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/mcy/2280331162.html
Can you say SeXy? Buells are in my honest opinion the best looking, sounding, and handling bikes out there. There will always be room in my garage for one.
I much as I adore Ducati, and I own a 1098, I would never buy a Diavel. Ducati should stick to making Race-Ready sportbikes because that's what they what they know and where they are dominant....
Funny ending to this story, I ordered the case off ebay for $138 and the next day the company that I ordered from sends me an email with this sales pitch: $129.95 A Case of 12 QUARTS of Max-Cycle...
yea, you should always watch the dog as you slow down then when gets within a couple of feet, pin it, works everytime. You should have learned this when you got you MC license.
thanks for doing this write up, I'm gonna use it when I wrap my headers. Any other advice you can give? It looks like it might be a real pain.
I absolutely love RP Max Cycle, but the stuff is just so darned expensive, $14 per qt at O'Reilly's. I found a case on ebay for $137, which equates to roughly $11 per qt. That is the cheapest I...
baby Harley? I don't get it either Some people are just ignorant.
Let the modding begin!:D Nice bike btw.
I can attest to this personally. As I was leaving Road Atlanta after the Superbike race this weekend, the bolt that connects the shifter to the linkage rod, fell out. I had to use a gym clip to...
