I have been using kerosene for years to flush engines, when i got my swingarm, i flushed it with kero and oil, then filled and plugged it before storing it.

Don't use soap and water.

about how long did the swap take? once you had all the parts? I was planning on doing this over the winter, but maybe I can just do it this weekend so I can get used to it before the winter.
