Now I am back to thinking about keeping my XB but still trying to make it more comfortable without dropping a ton of cash into it. I still have no problems with neatly modifying the top bracket and...
I appreciate all the input from you guys. I think I pretty much know the pros and cons to all of it but it is still really good to hear others opinions and thoughts. I really like my Buell but I...
In my area, I have found almost no used machines that I would be willing to drop my money on. They are either to ragged out for the asking price, or not right is some way or another. I am seriously...
I agree with what everyone has said above. Every bike on that list has been on my "Bikes to be considered list".
I like the old Buell but it really does not suit my needs very well. I have...
Making the Buell more comfortable?
I have looked into doing some things to make my XB9R more comfortable but I had pretty much dropped the idea of most of it because of the overall cost of parts....
I saw this thread yesterday and since I was slow at work today, I adjusted the clutch on mine and I really did not seem to think it was out at all but at the same time it does shift a little better...
That may have been you that recommended it! It does work good and I certainly could not beat it for the price. I use it on the bike a lot now.
Here are a few more......

I did not see another Buell that entire weekend! I have some more pictures that I may post up too. Just thought I would share a few. Glad you like them.
Thought I might post some pictures from this past Labor Day weekend trip. We had a good time and put a lot of seat time on the old Buell. I do have to say that she was not made for the hours that we...

I got the right side air scoop on the bike from the comfort kit and it really did seem to make a difference in the heat. I would say it was well worth the $50 spent on it. Fit was perfect too.
It looks just like mine! Same year and color too!!
We spent the Labor Day weekend up in the NC mountains on the old XB9R. We road a lot of roads and saw a lot of bikes. Out of all the bikes I saw and got to ride with, I only saw one Buell and it was...
We will also have some of her camera gear and I am sure a few other things as well. Maybe about another 20 pounds of stuff all together at the most.
Just a quick pre-load question here....
Me and the girlfriend are taking my XB9R up to NC this upcoming weekend for a few days of riding. Right now the bike preload is still set at the factory...
Finally got a 12 volt plug on the bike. I had to do something for charging things like the GPS and cell phones before the trip next week. I know its a little half ass but I ended up just tapping into...
I have a stock sitting XB9R and I got to sit on another one that had the 1" drop pegs on it. I am 5'-7" and I could tell the difference in them. It felt better on my knees. That being said, I still...
Anybody ever make their own right side air scoop? I know there are some out there for sale and it would probably be a lot easier to just buy one, but I like projects and I was thinking it might be...
Thanks for the info. I did a quick search but nothing came up. I will look again when I am not about to fall asleep. :)
I hate to change the subject here but I have to ask how you really like that LSL kit on the bike? I am also about the same height and was thinking of doing the same thing to mine. Just not sure if I...
bwylie 99, I think we have spoken before at a bike night at Hooters. I have a blue XB9R.
We are in Charleston, SC. I have not been in the mountains on a bike in about 10 years and am really excited about getting back up there. My last handful of years has been tuff so a fun weekend up...
My girlfriend and I are taking my XB9R to Cherokee, NC in September to take a nice long weekend together with no kids! I have never been up in that area and just figured I would ask for suggestions...
When I first got my XB9R last year, I thought she was going to blow on me. It made noises from everywhere and she still does.
She has not blown yet and runs like a champ. I am not scared to ride...
