TypeOne's Sick Sick bike
October 10th.....This past year I turned 29 on 10/10/2010
I havent lived in SoCal for a year now, but I used to take the 405 N to Wilshire from Torrance every day...I'd see at least one other buell on the road daily. I lived in Redondo, and there were at...
I think it looks great on your bike...id tap some larger holes in the backplate though and use some black hex bolts just to clean it up a bit. Rock on!
I completly agree with Extreme.....I usually keep my mouth shut and dont really involve myself in threads where someone is being a DB. I will say that when I joined, I was almost scared about making...
played growing us and into college....been a while since I've been on the ice though.
Played roller for a while, but i always felt like it was second rate to ice.....especially in SoCal
HEALTHCARE people!!!! Becasue of its very nature and new proposed legislation, Healthcare is booming!! (not that it ever wasnt). I've been in Healthcare IT, for several years: I've moved 5 times to...
you could always move away like I did....My mortgage is 1/4 of what my rent was in LA , and it cost $85 bux to register my truck and only $18 for the new bike.
I know for a fact that there are at...
We used to run polycarb and PET in totally clear for a company that made medical implants, The flashing was removed by hand and you could hardly tell how it was run: no tool marks. I've never...
Id go KTM......I love the DUC's but I feel like its my duty as a Buell owner to keep others from getting suckered into DUC's no matter how cool they are. Just because they rip their designs off of...
Yep me too! I stared when I was young and now I mostly boulder:a few years back I was sport climbing 3 times a week....now I'd kill to pull some plastic, but the closest thing is like 2 hrs...grrr
My money is still on PET, but its weird that its not stamped anywhere.
check craigslist....I was just there and found Bolts, Lightnings, some 1125's , a bunch of blasts and a few cyclclones or M1's....good luck
I might get my rep points knocked down for this, but i dont care anymore.
Maybe he's confusing Buell's for speed triples and monsters. Just a thought.
I have the same DIY backround but its way cleaner and in .PSD (illustrator) format. PM me if you want it.
theres a few otehr threads out there about this as well, where you might get some more info...
I'd assume they have to be stamped somwhere with what type its is....my money is on PET, Polyethelyene. Just look for the number within a triangle symbol, and thats your answer.
I suppose i should have bought a buffing wheel a long time ago...would have saved a-lot of elbow grease.
I've been told that the discoloration is from the decals blocking sunlight....I just used platic polish and wax over and over..eventually it was all uniformed. The sanding and polishing to remove my...

There is a thread somewhere on here that lists just about every parts supplier for Buell's...id assume that adrenaline moto, or american sport bike might have something cool t hat you're after. sorry...
I ended up using that spray foam stuff for sealing up holes in the walls and what not. I just put a bead of it in the gap, let it dry then sanded it down. After that I used model filler to make it...
It should be noted that TypeOne cut one inch off of each side of his bars, (Pro Taper Carmichael Contour), but they also make a Carmichael bend in the 7/8's bars as well..thats what put on my bike...
all i did was drill the rivots out, tap the holes, rattle can the stock timing cover then used some nice hex bolts to put it back in place...looks store bought.
Not hard at all actually, just jump right in: making sure to keep track of where everything goes, but as far as actually opening the cluster and changing the backround, its quite easy. I was told to...
I removed m airbox X and had great sucess polishing it out. What I did was basically yank the X off, then masked around the glue as not to scratch the airbox in unwanted areas. Then using a x-acto...
