Sadly i dont have time to show everything so detailed as i would like to so here are pictures from the finished (for now) product. Everything works fine. Had some problems with fuelpump but its...
I recommend to check your fuel pump and specially the pressure regulator. Regulator have 2 o-rings that worns out. My had only 16000 miles when I replaced them. You can check pressure first from...
Then its time for the final touches. Frame, shifter, swingarm, triple trees and some tiny bits got powder coated black. Everything else I painted in my tiny chamber that I made temporarily.

I put some miscellaneous details to this reply. Pictures which I'm too lazy to explain. Ask more if something interests

I've been pretty busy and had to take little time off from this forum but now i'm back. I think that the shifter and its linkage is so ugly that I had to put it on the bike. Also made ****er little...
Well, I hate original subframe on the X1. Why in in the name of god you would ruin such a beautiful bike with that monsterous casted thing. Cast aluminum is one thing itself... :upset:
Speedometer is also very handy tool for avoiding win in the police lottery, tickets are huge here in Finland. I wanted to use motoscope mini from Motogadget. It is very beautifully made and works...

Thanks for the compliments. Let us all praise Harley for inventing vrod headlight because it is the only one fitting perfectly for buell IMO. Vrod mount was not what i wanted and didn't want any...
Actually that seat was my first time welding aluminum. I learned to weld steel with tig when I made the tubular tail. I tried tig welding once on a piece of aluminum sheet when I was in army 2008...
Well, seat base was just welded up like a puzzle. I bought everlast AC/DC tig at the time and seat base was my first practise job. Then it was just a case of filing and sanding it smooth...

I have polished clear plastics with toothpaste and it works great. Some toothpastes have tiny polishing particles in them. Polishes even soft glass if its not badly beaten
How about seat? I hated when the original plastic seat base surrendered under my ass so I made new seat base from 3mm thick aluminium. It works like original and there is even storage only slightly...
Finlands license plate for motorcycles is a huge rape from behind to my buells nice bottom so I put it on the side mounting style. It isn't beautiful but at least other side of the bike isn't raped...
I took 3mm thick aluminium and beat it to undertray. Maeby some tigging was also needed :)
