I definitely like the look, but being a "function over form" kind of guy I have to wonder how well they work.
I don't want to give up my comfort package here in AZ just to look cooler.
Well, the H4 is a 3 prong connector because it's a dual filament bulb. The Buells use an independent hi-beam so the bulbs are single filament, and use a 2 prong connector.
That being said, it...
I'm surprised to see RoyalPurple isn't #2. That's all I pretty much ever used in my bikes after working for some gear head machinists that got me turned on to it.
You can't swap the old bushings over?
Could always use some BLUE loctite to hold the bolt from vibrating loose once it's at the tension you prefer.
Why stop there? Put a cheater on that!
Steel fence post or something!
Believe it or not, I've done that. Trying to replace leaf springs on a Cherokee.
Impact wasn't doing crap (cheap impact),...
Damn, O-ring seals are so EASY. They don't need to be cranked down. Not even close.
You can feel them compress and when the plug wants to stop...
I sort of understand it on normal...
I've actually never stored a battery on a tender, nor taken the battery out, but I HAVE stored my bike in temperature controlled environments and disconnected the negative.
Always fired right up...
How does this even happen? It's not like 6 year old posts are on page 3, you gotta go "Indiana Jones-ing" through the archive to get to posts that old.
And it's not like a project or problem thread...
Might just be my bars since they're a little lower than factory, but if I ran upside down mirrors they would DEFINITELY hit the frame when turning the bars.
Except for maybe those upside down bar...
What about something like this?

Personally I never understood the whole mirrors under the bars thing. To me...
I can't really say whether or not the SCG is too short, but I did find some factory specs for both bikes in regards to seat height.
SS:
Seat Height, Laden3 30.6 in. (777 mm)
Seat Height, Unladen...
Didn't seem very fair of me to vote for myself, luckily there were plenty of awesome pictures to choose from!
Good luck to everyone who submitted!
I always end up grinding those locater pins off instead of drilling the bars. Partially because I don't want to screw up the hole position, partially because I want to be able to return the bars in...
Even if the primary oil has half the interval as the crankcase/swing-arm, it's one quart exactly.
For just $10 might as well change it every time. Takes not but an extra minute.
Starved Rock is a cool ride, have fun, be safe!

Thanks for the replies. I might not be able to get to this right away but I'll be sure to update.
I'll definitely try cleaning it first.
Is there a way to adjust the sensor for the brake pedal?
The pedal is adjusted to a comfortable position and the braking response feels good, but I have to push pretty hard to get the light to...
Come on, everyone knows the motorcyclist's equation.
M=N+1 wherein M would represent the amount of motorcycles you should own and N is the number you currently own.
It's not satisfiable...
Hmm... In that topic I don't see any mention of what bike he has but at some point he says it was reading Celsius. Mine doesn't display temperature. I've got a 2006 XB12.
I went out to the garage...
I couldn't find it in the manual either, but I did some digging and I found this.

That's all I found...
@LunaticFringe
Dang, 5 years? I had no idea the average was that long.
I ride a lot more and/or a lot heavier than the average rider, then. It doesn't take me anywhere near 5 years to go...
@LunaticFringe
I've never seen the value of replacing brake fluid at pad change time.
I usually don't even open the cap either.
In my experience I've never had difficulty compressing the piston...
