Does this method work? It does put a lot of stress on the gearshafts etc using the puller and pusher but so much easier than splitting the cases. What are the dimensions of the pullers, if it works...
I have changed the pulley tensioner wheel for an old one I've got, changed the primary oil and adjusted the clutch. Went to check the engine oil only to find the dipstick has broken off, so have...
Changes with road speed
Hi, I have a whining too that stays whether the clutch is pulled in or not. I have checked the tensioner pulley bearings and they seem fine, so do the wheel bearings. The front pulley has no play...
Thanks!
Please excuse my ignorance! Does the AFV Value move about? I set mine to 111.9 which is what it was when I first checked. 150 miles or so and it had gone down to 106. Another 100 miles or so and it...
Get one. You'll love it !
Just had another blast for 100 miles or so. Sat at about 95mph on the motorway for about 20 miles with the odd 110mph thrown in. Then back on the A roads and 2nd, 3rd and 4th up to the redline at...
Quick update. I think my bike is alive! I tried the Buell XB race map and thr tickover wasn't right after a good couple of hundred miles so I reinstalled the original stock map (brain!), reset...
Hi yes I did try thr fuel cut on thr drummer map but I am now back on stock map and haven't done the fuel cut. O took the bike for a half hour run yestrrday. Started immediately but the tickover was...
Took the bike out again and the tickover hung around 2000 for quite a while before dropping to 1100 and then was up and down. I decided to do the intake seals. The seals looked absolutely fine but I...
Great write up for doing the seals. It is a shame that Tpehak or whatever he is called hijacked it and spoilt it. I have only just recently joined this forum, have read many threads and have come...
Thanks, that is 0.9mm which is what they come as according to the NGK website.
What is the recommended gap?
No it won't. The 04 forks are 41mm, later ones are 43mm. I know because I have just done seals and bushes in my 04 12s.
I also have the race map to try but so far the drummer ss map seems to be working well. I will test for intake leaks as I have got new seals ready but if the bike behaves itself and the AFV stays...
Thanks, I'll give that a go.
Hi, I have an 04 xb12s that I have owned from new. It has about 28000 miles on it. I have a K&N air filter, snorkel removed, 4 inch hole cut in side the airbox and an HP Corse exhaust. It has always...
