The standard ethanol mix is 10%, which is, according to the manual is OK. I have used the 10% blend with no problems when I have to. That said, there are a couple of stations in my area that...
The 2000 was the first year. I think there was a recall of the rear pulley. The cool thing was I think it came with stainless steel brake lines and had a beefier engine mount. The 2000 was faster...
110/70/16 is the best number for an oversize front.
Just go back to the stock exhaust if you want quiet (hey-I have one in my garage) - but (a) the bike will sound like a lawn mower-and (b) when you drain the transmission oil the stock exhaust will be...
Frankly- (and you know it) your MPG depends on your riding style. If you drive it like you stole it-- not so much.
"F"-em if they can't take a joke.Hey -I would rather ride a Blast than any scooter b/c you have that gas tank between your legs for control, rather than sitting on a seat and holding on to the bars....
You need to call on the expertise of EZ Blast here, but ,if I am not mistaken the 2000 Blast was the first year and had a higher speed rear pulley and different belt which were subject to a...
Great looking engine! Do love the blacked out tubes as well.;)
I don't know what you are looking at, so I don't know whats going on, but some bubbles in the tank are OK. It's catch 22- you need to check the motor while hot, but the pump throws the oil up into...
Great show,Pierce- now I know that the project is above my pay grade :p
You have to excuse us Blastards- we are just nucking futs.
Just stay away from the stock Dunflops- unless you want to change the oil and tire at the same time
Hey-that place is about 2 blocks from my daughter's condo. Maybe I can pick up a dried chicken foot or bone or something for you shake around your bike.
Goto New Orleans- there is a Voodoo temple on Rampart St where you can have your hex removed. :D
The diode reverse, and subsequent start up may indicate a bad kick stand switch.
2003 w/2500 miles for $800.00? Hell- run, don't walk to buy it! (just be sure he has good good title) Cables are an easy fix, but if they are bad at 2500 miles, the bike was probably not garaged. In...
Look-please don't think that I think that you are stupid - but look at your kill switch and make sure it is on. This kind of simple stuff has happened before.(and it is SO easy to overlook)
How about your fuel tank vent? Loosen the gas cap and start the motor. if it runs fine with a loose cap- then the vent is clogged somewhere.
140/70/16 is the golden oversize rear for the Blast- the guy you bought from wasn't reading the forums :)lol
Yey- don't get me wrong- Dan's Superboot is great and bullet proof. BUT if your boot is bad, get a new one from the stealership ( about $13.00 or so) A bad boot will cause problems. Worst case- a big...
@Blastonia-- goto www.bcrider.com-- click on blast, find instructions on changing transmission oil w/ pics, tool list, etc. (and other info too :))
Blastonia-(seriously)-if you just bought that bike you need to change the tranny oil to a good synthetic 20-50 motorcycle oil (eg: mobil -1, Amsoil, etc.--Not gear lube). Who knows when or if that...
jhc82 You, from your posts, seem to be a guy who knows how to work on a bike. In my experience, you will be very happy with this little ride. Once you get 'em going the Blast is very reliable (I have...
