I suppose that's the wise thing to do, don't want to make more problems.
Last year someone tried to steal my Buell and only made it about 100ft thanks to a friend MAKING me get a rotor-lock. However they dropped the bike once they realized dragging 400ish lbs was a tall...
It has 2 wires connecting. The horn worked when I did the initial test drive after all this wiring nonsense I have been doing so I'll wait till it doesn't before I take everything out.
I also may...
Thanks for help!
Trying to decide what to do with the rusty exhaust that came on my bike and realized I have no idea what brand/type it is.
Any ideas?
Also, worth repainting? Or just getting a new one?
Update:
Indeed the 4 ground cluster was all broken off, couple bucks at radio shack and I rewired them back in, everything works now!
Problem solved!
Realized I was an idiot, tested the "ground" wire with the "tail" wire and found I was getting power. Which narrowed the problem to the bulb/socket. The alligator clips seemed...
So I got a voltage meter tonight and tested the 3 tail light connections and this is what I came up with
Ground (vertical plug) -- Got a -12v reading when connecting to the positive terminal on...
ToneTheMoan- Thanks for the advice, I haven't checked any of those locations, but will tonight!
I will definitely post an update after I find the problem (or create another)!
Cooter- It...
Yeah I did check that as well, they were both touching and didn't really need cleaned but I did anyway.
I like all these suggestions, will eventually get to one I overlooked!
Yeah I'm going to try some serious wiggling when it's dark tonight so I can see for sure if it lights up at all (not easy to hold the front break and check the light at the same time).
I...
I have tried 3 different bulbs (2 brand new) with no luck. It won't light up under any circumstance: front brake, back brake, running light, parking light (Ignition all the way forward). The wires...
2009 XB12Scg
Tail light won't turn on under any circumstance. I've put in a new bulb, pulled the connection out and cleaned it, checked the ground (by the battery), checked the "Lamp" fuse and...
Even the tail light is tied into the 4-ground cluster? I guess I'll find out since that is the first thing I intend to check.
Thanks for the tips/confirmation. I did have to put new bolts in the tail section yesterday due to lack of thread-locker, and pulling it out of the garden shed could have bumped some wires out.
If...
I'll keep it simple:
Headlight: Currently not working at all. Last fall the Hi-beam was about as bright as my iphone light and the Low-beam would cut out randomly when I turned the steering wheel....
I'm not sure on the fuel mapping, but I know the guy who had it before me was pretty crazy about having everything professionally done. I'm guess ecmspy is needed to check that? Where is the best...
I like your idea of keeping the valve open. I just realized that I might not have a valve anymore due to the previous owner replacing stock exhaust with a d&d aftermarket exhaust (just got the bike a...
I have seen a couple posts related to Engine code 21 - Interactive muffler control inoperative. From everything I have read it's either the servo or the valve is sticking. The check engine light goes...
