I have an ongoing similar issue. Checked the wires, grounds etc and have found nothing.
Where can you purchase a stepper motor?
Hi John - Been awhile since I've been on but always enjoy your Posts, Comments and Knowledge!!
IMO GJ-Blue seals are superior to stock. Clearances are tight but have had no real issues installing. That said I've only done it with the engine rolled. I always coat the seals with Super Lube but...
Hey All - Hope everyone had a Happy Holiday Season with family and friends!
Doing some winter projects on the an 07 XB12STT. Looking for a TPS Sensor, PN-P0279.3AA, (think this TPS was used on all...
What pads do you recommend for the front?
I've had a similar problem for the past couple years. I've checked the wiring but have not done any real troubleshooting.
If the issue is in the ECM, is it likely to fail completely or is the...
Hi John - I did, hope yours was nice as well.
St. Paul HD/Buell doesn't seem to have as much stuff on their web site. Hope this isn't the beginning of the end. Fortunately I finished up...
Emailed the New Buell and asked if they would be supporting the older bikes. Below is their response:

Good news indeed! I'm curious though, now that HD sold the Buell name will they continue supporting the brand with new parts like they've been doing with St. Paul Buell/HD? If not will the new Buell...
My TT was a left over 07 which I purchased in late 08. In order to help sell it the dealer installed Black Plastic, (including the front fender) a lower Lightning Long XB12Ss seat and passenger pegs....
>>>Not a bad option but if you lower the spring perch and then turn up the preload what do you actually gain<<<.
20mm or about 0.8". You're dropping the whole shock assembly, pre-load doesn't...
Whatever it takes to keep on riding!
Installed one of these on my 07 XB12STT (it worked out nicely) http://www.whaccessories.com/Lowering-Kits-Buell.htm
Backstory – I'm 71 with a 28-29” inseam. Even though the TT's height, (Buell's...
When other options fail, Galfer Wave Rotor solves all, (but its spendy).
Bought mine from ADVmonster and they work great. Absolutely no issues like Cooter mentioned. A little tricky to install. They have big wire mesh heat sinks.
Have LED's in both Buell's and the Suzuki DR650. One of the Buell's has had them for at least 25-30K Miles with no issues. The bulbs have mesh heat sinks which barely get warm.
Power consumption...
With aircraft production dwindling, the Russians are looking for new markets.
Galfer Wave Rotor installed IMO its superior to the stock rotor.
Thanks, Part Ordered.
Planning on replacing one of my Front Wheel Rotors with a Galfer Wave Rotor. Galfer sells a disc for the XB12R and XB12X but none for an XB12S. I believe the XB12S and XB12R rotors are the same but...
Tach needle erratically fluctuates 1000-1500 or so RPM. Fluctuation is intermittent, not steady.
-How do I go about troubleshooting the issue?
-Can this be repaired in the home shop or do I have...
You can purchase a pound of it at WalMart for only $2,148....
That's only 3000 Miles. I would definitely try fresh gas and injector cleaner first. Suggest TechRon. Its reasonably priced and works well at keeping injectors clean. Try doubling or tripling the...
If the injectors are gummed up from gas going bad while sitting then new gas and injector cleaner may work. If they are carboned-up and fouled the only way to clean is with an ultrasonic cleaner.
