Thread: Idle problems

  1. #1
My Scg is idling @ 1000. It seems low to me. Is this normal or should it be idling higher? If so, at what range? How and where can I adjust it?

    Thanks...

Standard set idle is at 1150rpm. Depending on the year of your bike you can adjust it by turning the adjuster knob behind the snorkel on the left side of the frame.

Lower is better than too high. Too high and it will take forever to come back to idle.

An '08 doesnt have that cable, sorry. I wasnt sure which year we were talking about. You will have to have it adjusted at your dealer by the Digital Tech. The new throttle body is a self contained unit, no external idle adjustments and no TPS resets.
