So my engine light came on today after about 10 miles. Shut it off and restarted and light came on in about a 1/2 mile. Bike seemed to ride the same but being as I'm still braking her in (and new to the bike), I'm can't say for sure shes running 100%. So I go to do the jumper wire to the diagnostic port trick (http://bcrider.com/DDFI.html) and no light blinking. It's not the wire. Sould I try starting the bike and running it till the light comes on and then trying to pull the code? Thanks guys.
I think you should be seeing the 6 consecutive flashes (normal) at the least but I'm not sure. Did you have the jumper on and the ignition switch on at the same time? Have you got a way to check with ECMSpy to see if it connects to the bike?
