Is it a 9 or 12 pipe?
Just got a Special OPS exhaust from ebay. Nice piece of work. It is just way too loud for me, took it right off and put the stock back on. I might sell it but in the mean time I am looking to investigate how it is put together without wrecking it. Anyone know the basic layout on the inside of the pipe? If I keep it I will want to redesign the interior to get the low end back and also make it sound better than stock. I am going to do the little mirror and led trick first to see whats inside.

Is it a 9 or 12 pipe?
Its a pipe for a twelve. The valve still remians, not sure if it has any effect though. Going to do a primative inspection after lunch with a small light and small mirror.
What did you give for it?
Saw one that just sold on Ebay for $265 I believe.
I paid 281.00 United States Dollars shipping included.
I looked inside using a flexible led light and extended mirror. From what I can see the walls of the main chamber are lined withan expanded metal, not exactly hardware cloth but the same Idea. I'll bet a modification that involves the valve is possible for low end torque and still maintain some of a low end base note for the exhaust. I just repainted it with VHT black paint, so it looks good but is standing in the corner.
Oh and the interior outside of the valve appeared to be gutted with the rear jacking partition in place with sqare holes cut out of it. Not sure if the forward jacking partition is still in place, could not get a good look.
i saw one on ebay this weekend that didn't sell when the reserve wasn't met. the final bid got to ~$440
here is the link to the ended auction

Wow, I thought Odie was charging less than that for his pipes.the final bid got to ~$440
i checked out his site. he's asking $275 for one with the exchange of a muffler. but for a new one on it's own without sending a stock one to him, he's asking $450.
