I didn't notice a change at all with the rss. Fan still runs the same amount of time.

If you have a 08-2010 with a new map, the fan is not temperature related.

The new map being the one that operates the fan while riding? It is an 08 but the fan runs only after shutting down or stuck in traffic in the summer.

my fan still comes on after i put on the right side scoop. what is this about a new map for the 08? do i need to get something done with it for the fans sake?

I have an 03 Bolt, and the rss helped with cooling the engine alot. My fan never comes on now.

I actually took off the right side scoop and went with the smaller one cause it scared me not hearing the fan especially sitting in traffic.

Installed my RSS a few weeks ago. It is probably one of the best cheap mods one can do. Fan never comes on...this is includes riding the piss out of the bike. I actually had to hook my bike up to ecmspy and test the fan to make sure that it didn't die on me.
