Has any one had an evap can installed under warranty on a bike that did not come with one originally?

Why would you want it? It's only required when sold new. It's ok to not have it. Perfectly legal.

No I haven't ever heard of that but, I installed one on mine. It was cheap enough and not that bad to do. Fuel smell gone!

The can is 20 bucks and the two hose are about 14 bucks. Cheap fix!

Hey Red where did you get the can? I called the dealer and they gave me a price of $43.95+tax. Also could you post pics of where you mounted the can and how the hoses are routed.

If you have gas coming out, something else is wrong. You should address the problem directly instead of finding a work around.

Start by not filling your bike when it's straight up, lean it on the side stand. Don't let the gas fill to the rim, just under is ok.

    Dave,

The 1125's vent tube is different than the XB's in that the overflow tube releases fuel vapors from the tank after every ride. These fuel vapors turn to liquid drips when they hit the outside air. It is not as if fuel pours out of the tube, just a few drips. It is just a smelly nuisance in an enclosed garage. The Cali can recycles the fumes and eliminates the exterior vent tube.

My bad. I didn't even see it was for a 1125. Disregard my previous statement.
