    LOL
Yes nearly all in tank pumps dam near every fuel injected car as well.
Most have some sort of bath tub that hold like a half gallon around the pump when the vehicle gets below 1/4

All fuel pumps are fuel cooled - even old school mechanical pumps. In tank, external, engine driven, gear drive, rotary, etc.

I wouldn't worry about the pump heating up within a half minute or so before shut off as much as the sediment you pull into the pump, injectors, chambers, etc. Also, priming injection systems can be a pita after a dry run. Sometimes I hate knowing this kinda thing - wait, sometimes I hate having had to learn this kind of thing through experience ;)

Ebeo, you desperately need to get that thing tuned. The 08's and 09's run SUPER rich from the factory.

If you can get 22.2 gallons on the reserve tank, I'd like to know this trick.
    Ya i meant 22.2 miles
I wonder about the accuracy of the detector will it always turn the light on at the same fuel level in the tank? I made it 28 miles pn the highway after the light turned once but I'm defnitialy not going over 20 now.

How would I go about getting it tuned?

I've have put 8k miles on my bike and i can honestly say that I haven't paid any attention to my gas mileage. I bought it to ride it, not baby it. If your daily driver is a car than honestly, who gives a flying f@#& what kind of gas mileage your motorcyle gets anyways. Ride it like you stole it. It's funny how many people on here brag about their performance mods but when they post pics of their bikes they have chicken strips 6" wide.
