Thread: Not an original idea...right side scoop.

    I couldn't find the other thread on this but I did a cheap/free right side scoop. Didn't even have time to test it out yet, will let you know tomorrow how it works.







    if i end up liking it I'm going to paint the bolt and the spacer so they don't stick out like a sore thumb.

    I did mine about a week ago. I'm not really sure how much of a difference it made, but all it cost me was the bolts so I figure I'll let it go how it is while I wait for the real scoop to show up in the mail.

    yeah, not sure it did too much of anything...I did a beat run after work today and the fan still kicked on like normal.

    Some of the ones I've seen people do had much longer spacers and bolts put on, so the scoop had a much wider opening. Mine is about the same width as yours because I didn't want to cut up the stock scoop any more to make it fit better since I knew I had another on the way. I'm sure if it's actually spaced out another inch or two it'd have a better effect.
