Yep, had to do the same thing 8 years ago with my R6. By far the best reason to get rid of a motorcycle.

Sympathies, congratulations & best wishes.
Gave-up an '83 Interceptor when 1st arrived in '84. (Started wearing seat-belt & quit drinking beer while driving pickup, too.)
Motorcycling tends to relapse on a person. Before too long for me it was, "... but, a dirt bike is okay, isn't it ... ?" :)

I don't understand why kid's equals no motorcycle? My daughters love "Daddys Bike"

I walked away from bikes for over a decade when all 3 of mine were born.
Perfectly acceptable to sell and I understand why you're doing it. You will miss it eventually and find another bike somewhere down the line, but it may be a while. Kids are expensive to raise.

I dont get either. Why does new kid equal no bike, my kid was born I bought another bike for the stable. My kids are now 23 and 21, i taught both of them to ride and some of the best times we have had were on the bikes.
Now the new generation with my grandson;
