are there any other sources for a gasket set other than HD?

what type of gasket material is used?

i have cut my own gaskets before for thermostats, and the like.
i would not look forward to cutting an entire gasket set, but it may be worth my time instead of forking over more $$$ to HD

Cometic? Thought I'd seen someone doing a rebuild that might have gotten them from there. Not sure if it was just a top end set or full though.

Admittedly, i don't know all that much about what i am doing by taking on a rebuild of this 1125 engine. i got the manuals and have watched the EBROficcial youtube video of the 1190 build like a hundred times, but am stil trying to figure out the details and practical appication of skills/knowledge. like how or from whom to get a gasket set. (other than HD)

i only see full kits from cometic for blast and XB. i'm talkking the green paper-y gaskets on the 1125 rotax side cases and what not. i figured i could try to get some thinner head gaskets from EBR and maybe raise compression ratio just a touch.
(i dunno if this is possible or if i am mistaken about OEM head gasket thicknesses) -i know it's not an '1190'-

i hope i don't have to remove the heads/jugs and split the cases.

Several of the HD dealers that sponsor these forums need support too. You could do it all by email and never have to set foot inside a dealership. Works for me.

Does EBR have this kind of stuff available that maybe they can't put on their website? Send them an email.

I have heard that "James" gaskets are very good in quality, and priced right.

how muh would thinner gaskets affect compression? How much would this affect power? I have heard about doing this but never have heard if it really makes a difference
