    Hi all,
This is my first post, I have had my 2005 Blast or about 3 months now and every thing was fine and I loved it, I bought it with 8500 miles and put an additional 150 on it. While running it would occasionally misfire when cold but ran perfect.
Until today. I had a hard time starting it and when it started it idled rough. I thought it would smoothen out, but it ran really and would misfire will on and off the throttle. I stopped for a while got it started again and while feathering the throttle A loud BANG sounded from somewhere in the engine and it died immediately.
Now it doesn't start, everything looks fine and I cant see any leaks. When I press the starter I can hear a whirring sound but it does not crank.

    Any thoughts of what happened

BTW the bike has an exhaust and K&N filter.

    Thanks in advance

Preveous owner may not have tightened it good.I usually go hand tight, then just a little more.Just don`t tighten it to tight,it will be hell to pay, when you gotta change it next time.
