The codes are stored in the ECM for somewhere around 50 errorless runs. That means that even if the light goes off, you can still read codes.

It's easy to read the codes at home with a jumper wire.

    How to read trouble codes.

    1. The right side scoop DOES help.

    2. Add more fuel! You, like many changed the fuel requirements (the muffler) and DIDN'T add more fuel.....

    3. There is a very good possibility that some additional ignition timing will help with your heating problems. If your timing is low, you probably get lousy milage also. You should be up near 48mpg. If you don't understand #2 and #3 get someone to help you in tuning your ECM.

My 05, 12S gets 48mpg regulary (I'm 245lbs!) and the fan doesn't come on hardly at all, even on 90+ days. It mostly turns on in slow freeway traffic, long signals and after I shut it off in the driveway

    Thanks guys,

My CEL comes on solid, do NOT blink.

I need to added more fuel for sure, but what do I need to add more fuel? Like I said, we do not have Buell Dealer here in UT.

I get almost 60 mpg, mostly all freeway riding. I am trying to do a good tune up for it, but what do I need for a turn up? I looked online and found only K&N filters, I think this filter will increase air flow and worsen my "lean issue" right? So where can I buy a normal STOCK filter?

TPS? What is that? I heard people have it reset, what it is do to reset it?

I will try to read the codes myself. Thanks again for the help, keep it coming.
