i am in need of a battery strap for my 09 lightning. the metal "D" ring pulled out of the rubber on mine. i had actually purchased one from another board member but apparently i have no idea wtf i did with it. that was a few months ago. i have given up the search. let me know :) shipped to 63379

true, that should work. i wonder what i did with the broken one? lol. probably need that. i'll be up for my 10k service by the end of summer. maybe i can deal with it till then. i think i threw the old broken one away as i had a new one, then magically lost the new one.
Just pulled my seat off to fit my new ECM and the replacement battery strap is now broken too.
Bike has been ridden only 2500 km since it was replaced.
Ordered another under warrenty but I think I'll look into making my own.
Mine broke, too. Dealer ordered a new one (warranty) but it broke during installation.
Used 3 plastic zipties looped like a chain
to hold the battery. They gave me a new
strap but I like the ziptie fix better (more
secure).
