Anybody got one, or a lead on one. Ebay didn't turn up anything.

While we're at it, is anybody having problems with the two front bolt holes cracking and breaking on theirs? What have you done to prevent this?

are you using the spacers w/ rubber washers in the front? they'll crack for sure if you don't. sorry, no lead on airbox cover.

Not rubber, but plastic. Is there rubber ones that are better?

Or translucent orange, I would need a windscreen to go with it also.

My chin fairing had cracks on every single hole when I got it. It was solid plastic though, not the translucent, so it just got one long crack each, instead of the spiderweb stuff the clear pieces do. Try putting a little loctite on the bolts and then not tightening them down as hard.

do not use locktite anywhere plastic is. it will cause the plastic to spider web. Trust me on this

ignore my comment then. I was thinking if you put one of the weaker loctites on the bolts it would let you put them in with a lot less torque without worrying about them vibrating loose, but it sounds like someone has proven that theory wrong.

The formula in loctite wether blue or green or anyting in between causes plastics to crack and spider.

Yes I'm using the shouldered bolts.

I've since cut off the front and sandwiched aluminum in it's place. It looks pretty good too. Really fits with the look of the Buells.
