    Timing is everything.
When I told my wife how much I had been offered for my Buell she freaked. She said she didn't want me "giving it away" for half what I paid for it barely more than a year ago.
But at least this occurred after I got the Rubicon.
This means I need to more seriously evaluate seat options if I want to do any riding beyond just to and from work.
The TT seat will be fine for my son. He'll be 15 this weekend and is already 6'3".

Damn, sign that kid up for the basketball team!

I get bummed thinking of what I paid for my XB, and what it's worth now. It's better to just hang onto it.

And I still get to save gas on nice days.
    Short trips are okay.

I broke the news to my son. He was quite happy.

I am not devious enough to have planned the "Get The Rubicon and Keep The Buell" plan. So I'm glad my wife did it for me.
Maybe I can get her to buy my lift kit and tires. Oh wait, she is a stay-at-home mom. I'd still be buying it.:D

Besides, like Batman said, it is a collectors item. Some day it may be worth more than I paid for it.

I'm glad it worked out. You would have regretted selling it.

Timing is everything. End of year deal on the Rubicon made it impossible to wait until 2011.
Now I have an all red American Garage. Red Jeep Patriot, Red Jeep Rubicon, and Red Buell.
Since Tim Russert switch the red/blue on the electoral map, Red is now good.
As opposed to the cold war "Better Dead Than Red."
    :D
