Sometimes when I try to shift from 3rd to 4th it seems to get stuck in between if I don't use enough force. It's accompanied by an unpleasant grinding sound. Is this normal for Blasts? Or do I have some serious transmission problem?

Adjust your clutch at the primary, if continues, adjust shift pawl, and even drum pins, replacing detent clip and plate.
