Thread: stator rotor replacement

  1. #1
I have a 2004 buell XB12s. I recently put out a post asking how to get this off without an air wrench since the entire drive train was turning when i tried to take it off. well I used a steel bar between the rotors and a breaker bar and it totally worked.
NOW, when I took it off it felt like there was sand paper.. LOL this is what i realized. the stator is fine but a few of the magnets were broken. Now i bought a new regulator and stator which means my funds are low. I could possibly find a used stator rotor. I need to know what years will work on my 2004?
For example I've already found a 2009 for an xb12s but not sure if it'll work. whats the part number for a 2004?
thanks for all your help with this and my previous posts

As far as I know the Rotors are all the same. only the stator and regulator changed when they went from 3 phase to single phase.
I used my original 1998 rotor on a 3 phase stator conversion that I did to my S3, and it has been working great for over a year now.

nope nope nope. the 09 doesn't fit at all. the crankshaft hole is too large.
