How do people dent their mufflers? Mine is pretty high off the ground on my XB and unless I'm hitting ramps or just completely careless about jacking the bike, I don't see how there could be any contact with anything

along with the answers above there is gravel, potholes, speedbumps and other debris and roadkill , but alot more on race pipes is from the same but from track/ race usage. plus wrecks.

ive bottomed out my jardine on a speed bump before. now im more carefull, also the ramp pulling into my shed

Mine has gotten many kisses from speed bumps (firebolt)

I know I slap mine now and then figure I had the forks slipped and back lowered

You can see how low my nose sits into corners, even with the susp stiff.



Here is a side shot hard on the brakes, right before the tail lifted up. Same day I snapped my CF fender:(, thus the reason there isn't one
