i managed to break a header stud on the front cylinder. so i guess my first option is to drill it out and reverse screw it out? anyone else had this prblem
If there is enough to grab onto about a 1/2 inch or so there is a stud remover tool that you might be able to use. I think I got mine off of ebay if I remember correctly.
I think the one from ASB is the way to go looks expensive but you only get one shot at removing a broken stud.
That happened to me on my old M2 Cyclone awhile back, Broke off clean and could not grab onto it with anything. I used some left handed/reverse twist titanium drill bits to make the hole for the easy out/screw extractor to fit in. Not sure if it made much difference but my the time I had a good hole for the screw extractor it came out pretty easy. Hardest part was drilling into the old stud, that was some very hard metal, just go slow and take your time.
well i gave it a try and drilled the stud out and as soon as i started using the extractor it broke off clean in the hole i drilled so now im back where i started.
