lol didnt say they looked good but hey way to think out of the box for who ever made them. I really wonder if the would save the frame/bike any better than regular frame pucks
Nice, also might want to take note that might have been before frame pucks were available. The bike is a 2003, and it was late '03 before they were available.
Wonder if his front fairing was only being held on by the 2 windscreen bolts, since the mirrors and blinkers are gone?
The frame pucks look like knee skid pads for racing pants. I bet thats the motivation.
I am sure that he had a bolt going through the mirror mount holes as I used to do on my old bolt.
Not the prettiest bit of equipment.
From an engineering point of view however, it looks like he's spreading the load of a potential crash very well.
We have a very unique situation with the frame on the XB. We don't really have anything to conveniently weld to when mounting accessories or frame sliders.
His is just one solution.
I'd like to know more about them. Are they DIY?
