Its not an R thats just how those run. :D jkjk love those bikes just as much if not a lil more.
Well, i tried but, i only got as far as the mono program not installing correctly after 3 tries. Therefore i cant use ecmread therefore, i cant do what i need to. So the search is on for someone that can tune a Buell. Not easy here in Fort Worth, Tx. From my luck so far anyway.

You've got an '05, why are you trying to use Mono or ECMread?
i read on a different thread thats how its done...
sorry, ill try it exactly the way you put it there up top.
once again, ill let you know how it goes.
OK! So i did the burn and that all went well. Runs and sounds better. HOWEVER, the problem of not being able to keep a constant speed without sputtering, bucking, missing(whatever you want to call it) is still there.
I called a shop and described whats going on and they said most likely the pump.ehhh...
Dont get me wrong, i dont want to doubt their possessional opinion but, thats kind of ....i dunno.
When i was younger and all i worked on my own cars with friends and such. Anytime anything happened and it ran like crap- "oh! Its gotta be the pump or the injectors!" lol!
I need yalls opinion on which way to go now. The race eeprom burn didnt make my bike run any worse but it didnt solve the problem either.
run some sea foam through?
replace the pump? $$$ testable?
Something else? LOL! :(
Well, im going to take it to Harlley next Thursday. I have to so i can have my transportation back soon! Hopefully they'll get it figured out.
The Seafoam isn't a bad idea. Post up what they find, I'm out of ideas.
Still, it sure sounds like a grounding issue or plug cables not on good.
Check your plug wires. It sounds like you are skipping. It is quite possible that the wires are loose on the coil end or the plug end. I would check that first and foremost. Also check ou vent tube running fromthe top of the fuel tank to make sure it I not stopped up. That's all I can think of at the moment. I will keep pondering though and keep putting up things that you try with results. We can get this figured out without having to spend all that money at Harley.
I had a problem very similar. I put D&D exhaust on my bike and didn't do a TPS reset. Several miles later mine started to do the same thing as yours. I also thought it was my battery. I wiggled around the fuses and took the battey out for a day to test it(it was good) and my problem was fixed. I don't know if it was a loose fuse or if my ECM just needed to be reset. Either way, those are both easy things to do. By the way, there is a pretty big group of Buell riders around Fort Worth. We meet up and ride together pretty often. Once you get your bike running you should come along with us.
Update:
I belive i found the culprit! (PENDING- waiting till i replace to be sure)
