Thread: 2008 TPS zero

  1. #1
Picked up an 08' service manual today and found that the TPS zero procedure is as follows.

    a. Set the run/stop switch to run
    b. turn on ignition
    c. engine off, rotate the throttle closed to open and back 3 times holding the throttle grip against each stop for 1 full second.

Is this procedure different than the previous models? I see you guys all talking about Direct link and ECMspy to do this???

Yeah, the 08's are different, there is also a nifty little trick to unfouling your plugs on the 08's that would be sweet to have..

'08's do not have the same service procedure when zeroing the TPS as the '07's do. The throttle bodies between the years are different.

So that would explain why I can't seem to locate any kind of idle adjustment screw on my bike.
