Thread: Race exhaust :powder coating or ceramic coating

    I work for a powder coater, the pipes coming out of the engine get way too hot for powder coat. As for the muffler, we have done some for bigger harley bikes dressers, baggers (no guarantee) but it holds up. There are even some high temp powders, but in very basic colors. Ceramic coating is very fragile, if you drop it, it will likely chip.

    I had my muffler ceramic coated black with polished silver tips. Cost a little more but worth it IMO.


    Did my header polished silver too.
