Thread: high bar kit

  1. #1
I purchased a buell high bar kit from american sport bike, running the brake and clutch lines were a sinch.. but no matter how I run the throttle cables I seam to be an inch (1") short :(
Anyone have any tips, I've been fighting this thing for a week.

    Thanks

i just did the conversion. bought my kit from St Louis HD on ebay. The kit had everything I needed. The swap was painless. These guys must have sent you the wrong stuff.

its been awhile since I did my swap on the Black CR. My White one came already done. I do have the cables that came with the White one and they measure 3o" ish not counting the adjusters and one cable from ball to ball is 38" and the other 39". If yours are close, you probably got the right ones. I do remember having to get rather creative on how I had to run everything. I remember it took about 2 hours to swap everything, but another 4 to get the throttle to work correctly and snap back after opening. Good luck and let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. :)
