You missed it, it was a used Jardine in pretty good condition. Sold for $75.00.

my beef with the jiardines is that they fall apart and need regualr re-builds.

don't get me wrong, i had a D&D and now a latus-style exhuast. i went back to the stocker solely for teh transition. i like the sound of a rumbling v-twin just as much as the next guy.
it doesn't bother me that someone else has it on thier bike. i just don't know why you'd choose it over a gutted stocker
or insert here . same obnoxioulsy loud result, and need for a re-tune.

i guess it's just easier to swap than to DIY or send it off to randy....

i think pepole like to hack, gut and hollow-out the stock can cuz it's a hands-on mod, and poeple like to put their skills to use and take 'ownership' of thier ride.
it can be done for cheap, with very little down time, and it still retains the chin fairing and stock stylings of the bike.
and it gives you something to do while the bike is not rideable (for example: winter)

I had a big dent in mine from a speed bump and heard all of the stories about them falling apart and decided to wrap it with stainless instead of aluminum. I also repacked it with ceramic insulation to see if that will cut back on the number of repacks needed. I have about a thousand miles since the rebuild, we will see how it long it last. By the way I do like the Jardine exhaust. I like the way it sounds with the quiet module installed better than without and it keeps your chin fairing if you like the stock look.
