Hey everyone, really wanting to get my first Buell, and I've been waiting around for the right bike. This is almost perfect timing and location, almost seems to be providence.... but the price.... It's a 2008 xb12r, black and red, with about 3k miles. I want to offer a fair deal and get a fair deal, but the gentleman is asking $5,900. I feel this is a bit high, and I doubt I could even get full financing at that price. What do you all think? I really appreciate the advice, my ignorance may make me a bit vulnerable to some screwing haha. Thanks in advance!

Not a bad price for that low of miles. Remember these bikes were close to 11k brand new.

Spot on onelogue. I was going to say that the price isn't so bad...obviously you have to talk him down as much as possible but it isn't a bad starting price

I would agree with onelogue completely. fair, price is fair. Also, if you cannot swing it right now financially you should wait a little bit longer and save up a little more. These bikes may not be made anymore but they have not vanished. Patience paid off for me when I bought my 07 12r. had 980 miles on it and I got it for 6500 which was a great deal 2 years ago. And by the time I found that deal which I was searching for I had saved up enough skrilla to pay in full. /my 2 pennies

Just to throw this number out there. The KBB on an 1125 right now is 6400. . . I'd spring the extra 500

You guys rock! I'm more concerned with my credit union financing it, based off NADA I think it should be fine. I probably will only try to talk down tax on it, I still want the guy to have a fair deal.

Any issues you suggest I look at when I go to purchase that may be specific to Firebolts?

EXACTLY !! It kills me when people think that $5900 is too much for a Buell! If not for Harleys quick exit for Buells with the "Fire Sale Pricing " , people would realize the REAL value of a Buell . IMHO

I don't know, a friend of mine bought an 09 XB12R black and red with 1700 miles for $4700 two months ago. It's not a bad price but deals are still available if you're patient.
