does anybody know if one of these cool translucent airbox covers will fit my 04 xb12r??i see them listed on buellparts.net under the lightning section but it says 06 and up xb??was hoping they made a mistake because they look the same?heeeellppp!!!thx for any advice

Yes any air box made for a xb or 1125 will fit your bike. now if you had an 06 or newer bike you could only get the ones with the mesh grill in the front of it.

So will using a pre 06 airbox on a post 06 buell damage it someway due to the missing grill in front?

No. You can always cut the front and install your own grill. I know I have seen someone on here do it, I think it was Davexb12r.
the post 06 do not have a air inlet in the frame like the pre 06. so you need to let it breath.
