Front brake will not activate brake light

Well I spoke too soon. Brake switch back to not working. So I gotta order a new one.

I don't know if you have the same problem I had, hopefully it helps someone, but when I bought the bike, the tailight plug was put on up-side down, so the wire thats always hot was on the high output side and the one that comes from the switch was on the low, which made it not flicker at all... there is an indentation on the connection, that should face down.

Anyone know the part number for the front brake light switch? Mine seems to have just failed...

Switch works on my tester

I did a resistance test on the brake lever switch and it is working.

If you don't mind me asking, how many ohms did it read?

i posted up this info several times now. it is a nissin switch quite common in the jap-bike world as well. here are your part numbers. notice the 03 switch H-D part 3 is different.

Buell front brake switch p.n. Y0810.9 for '04+ XB...same switch as below:

Thanks Lunatic. Now I've got the p.n. for next time. Thus far, i removed, cleaned, blasted with WD-40, reinstalled and the old switch seems to be working.

Bringing this back from the dead. Good tips! Was able to get mine working well enough while I wait on replacement.
