So out of the blue the other day my 09' xb9sx feels very very weak. It used to want to just rip right out of my hands in 1st and 2nd. Now I don't feel a good pull until about 5500 rpm. Its like the engine is working very hard for little pay out.
I suspected plugs, but I pulled them and they look great. I don't really know where to go from here.
Any ideas?

I have the same bike, and feel the same way. I think it has to do with the weather cause some days the thing pulls real hard and other days it's a bit of a dog. Not sure what else to think. I notice at night when its cooler the thing runs like a raped ape.
Compression check should be done.

Checked the oil, primary was pretty low, so I filled that up, it helped a little, but it still feels off. Gas is always premium. you may want to consider the breather reroute, maybe the bike is not getting enough air.
anyone think it could be dirty fuel injectors? Any way to clean them?
