I had the check engine lamp come on today checked code found code 16. Any ideas

battery voltage.
have the battery tested,check connections check to see if its getting charged

Matt if you have a meter just put it to the battery.Start the bike at idle the volts should be around 12.5 and at 3,000RPMs 14.5 to 14.6 max. Volts if you need extra info to get into it more as in checking Stators DC voltage and so on.
There's a link here on the forum stevenc150 made for me when many needed the info to check for charging system issues. It's really detailed for checking your charging system. Check his link to some good posts from a lot of us that contribute so as to keep the Buells riding. Yep battery and cables first, then go from there.Make sure to have the battery load tested at the auto parts store, especially if the battery is more than 2 years old.hope it's just a regulator or easy fix.*Jimi
