    I've put 4 sets of brake pads on my Uly, and never had to take off the caps, any way, that shouldn't have allowed air in, I just push the caliper pistons back into the bores, install the pads, give the foot pedal or hand lever a couple of good pushes/pulls and all is well, niether of my brake fluid caps have been opened since I bot the bike new in 08, the fluid still looks pristine in the check windows

    when you bleed motorcycle brakes, you don't pump up and hole pressure.
    These aren't power brakes, so you have to open the bleeder valve, press brake lever all the way in. While holding it, tighten the bleeder valve. Repeat this a bunch of times. and you'll be in business.

    should never touched the bleeder.

    but you let air in if you have to remove the cailper point the bleeder straight up.
    block the pads with somthing to keep them spread(block of wood pad spreader ect) and bleed them.

    Ok just finished up round two on my brakes.I borrowed a power bleeder and flushed the system and filled with new dot 4 well it freakin worked! got my pedal back all is well. thank you for the help guys!

    next time dont open the bleeders or the master cyclinder caps just compress the calipers;) what do u guys use to scuff the rotors to help the pads seat???
