Get 2 Buells, teach wife how to ride. Problem solved and just increased load capacity if you decide to take trips and you have someone to ride with.
I have a friend that taught me how to ride on his 1125CR and I am thinking of getting an 1125R. If I get the bike I would like to set it up to be able to handle my wife and I if I could talk her into riding with me at some point. Here is the problem I’m a hefty guy and my wife is 6’ and we would be over the load capacity of the bike together. Would different springs be all that would need or would I need to look into a bigger bike? I really like the feel of the Buell and would rather stick with that. I know that the load capacity is 395 lbs. I think with safety gear and all we would be around 500 lbs. combined.

My girl and I ride 2up, at that weight, all the time. No issues yet.I think with safety gear and all we would be around 500 lbs. combined.
Well so far I have not been able to talk her into even going around the block with me so getting two is probably out of the question.
Cool Thank you bfletcher
Origami,
Take her to the motorcycle class, since mine has done that we now go look at bikes for her.. She said she would have never thought about bikes before cause as she puts it so much to do it's crazy..
Now she says agh it's not that bad, I just want a lite bike.
****img score.......
Straw
I weigh 325 lbs w/out gear
My wife weighs about 120 w/out gear
The 1125R handles the both of us MUCH better than my Triumph Sprint ST
I've got it set up for the max weight, since I qualify all by myself. :(
