All in all it was easy actually. The plastic pieces on the end of the bars came out with a pair of vice grips and I threw them away because I didn't need them. The rest of the installation was a breeze as well. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Sorry, sold those a loong time ago, but you can check out the moto-deluxe store on ebay and still get them for pretty cheap.
