Hey guys, im new to the fourm so please welcome me in with open arms. I have a small delimea. I just recently bought a 2002 buell blast with 6800 miles on it. the problem im having is trying to find out what type of motor oil to run in it. I want something that will increase preprmance a bit , but whatever keeps the bike running the longest is my goal. If it means anything i live in florida so weather conditions dont get much below 60. Thanks for the help, Blastboy

You are about to get belittled by half the board just a warning!! There have been about 10,000 posts on it!! But Welcome it is all subjective to people prefrence. Me I run V-twin cause it's easy to get and some friends recommneded it highly!! You will hear bout Royal Purple, Amsoil, and a list of others!! Search the forum for oil and get ready for the floods of posts!!

    welcome aboard.

mobile one v-twin 20w50 (found at autozone)
amsoil 20-50 motorcycle (napa and other bike shops)
lucas 20-50 motorcycle (oriley's and napa)
    all synthetic all great oils
i would reccomend you change the trans oil and adjust the primary chain as well.
theres a ton of performance mods you can make on the blast enjoy

I use amsoil and have been happy with it.

To help you search for topics in the future, just google buellxb then the topic. Should help you out.

Synthetic Amsoil and Mobil 1 are generally considered the best.

***Amsoil MCV 20w-50 in the engine and primary.
***Mobil 1 20w-50 in the engine and primary
***Shell Rotella T6 in the engine (not primary!) and Amsoil or Mobil 1 in the primary.

I recommend ordering Amsoil MCV 20W-50 from a local dealer. You can find them from Amsoil's site. My local dealer can get me the oil in about a day.
