Hey all, it was a good and bad day today first i got my D&D in the mail. But i noticed after returning to work from lunch i keyed the ignition to on.. CEL comes on and goes out like it should.. Then after cranking the engine of the CEL comes back on but goes out after about 1 to 2 seconds.. It has not come back on after riding it about 12 miles to work? The thing is running just fine not noticing any change.. Any idea's? I thought i've seen a thread about this before but couldn't locate it.. I'm thinking maybe like crank sensor? Hope its nothing major.

It does it everytime you start now or just that one time? If it was a one time thing, use ECMSpy to check for stored codes or this method if no ECMspy. - Wire-jumper Method One simple thing to do is to run through your battery connections and grounds in case it was just a loosening connection.

Check your electrical connections, and battery voltage. Mine usually comes on if the bike has been parked for more than a day, and takes about 5 miles to turn off. Came up as a voltage fault.
