Thread: Newbie looking for levers & grips...

  1. #1
    Hey Guys,

Looking to see if someone could point me to a site or brand for red colored levers and some cushy grips.

I see the levers all over the place, just don't know who makes a good quality set with good fitment and function as well.

Also, this is my first sport bike, so some grips that have some cushion to them would be good.

    Thanks,
    -Joel

I have ride it moto levers, pretty decent. Heard a lot of people say the red came out kind of pinkish, may need to repaint. But they work well.

Their grips are kinda cheaply made, never put them on.

Rideitmoto is the way to go if you want to go the inexpensive route. I like the shorty levers myself but be prepared for the anodization (all colors, even black) to fade rather quickly on any lever at that price point. Here's a link where there's pages of reviews on Rideitmoto. Other than the fading, people seem to like them. Rideitmoto

If you have some additional money to spend you can go with ASV or Pazzo levers or the like but you'll pay closer to $200. I don't have any direct experience with them but they seem to be better quality all around (as they should be for the additional cost)

    Good luck!

ASB has some good grips ASB 5662 Gel Thick Grips and I just got CRG levers from them. Was looking at the less expense ones as well as the Pazzo's but in the end CRG has a roller bearing on the adjust lever making it easier to move one handed/gloved. Not worried about any fading, or failing of parts...got the shorty ones, work great, two minutes to install, $2 cheaper than the pazzo's with no roller bearing. Go ASB!

Levers= CRG direct from the webite.

Grips: I use Grab-on's Johar (foam) cheap and wear out fast but very comfy and only $10.00 a set (approx)

As far as grips I like the cheapo foam ones you can get at cyclegear or even bikebandit.com and then I just slip them over top the factory grips, gives a lot more diameter and is easier on my hands. They are very cushiony too. Like $5-$10 a set if I remember correctly.
