i would remove the whole cable and put it in on the parts shelf.
just sent my stock exhaust off to Randy, you guys are correct, he is super to talk to and I am looking forward to this mod along with the K&N on its way. The TT should be fun. My question is as in the title, did you guys just hook it back up for a clean look or just fold it up and tie it off or what is the best thing to do with it. I was just going to hook it up as it was just for a clean look but wanted to find out here what would be best. thanks to any that can shed some light on this. Mike

Alright, cable is removed. can the actuator and harness be reomved from the top of the air box? I was just curious if the unit is unpluggged can you get some sort of computer error? Anyone removed that assy?
you will get an error cel but look on buell parts they make a part for that
sorry here it is http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/97.html
get ecmspy and you can just turn off the actuator and it won't give you that light. and if you get a new exhaust and go from a stock filter to a K&N you'll want to retune your bike. talk to theoctopus or find a racemap to load up in the meantime
^That^
In the meantime, order an ECMSpy cable if needed from Xoptiinside.com or take a chance on Fleabay.
On the ECM, I talked with Randy at hawk and he mentioned that after I install his mod cannister and a new K&N to just go for a 15 min or so ride at 3k rpm and it will pick up the changes. I would feel a jerk from the engine and that lets you know it just changed over. Mike
p.s. I just wanted to clean up the top of the box, heck I will just leave the actucator on, not a real issues since I can't see it with the cover. The cable is off anyway.
it won't adjust the fuel maps to make up for the mods
a tps reset would be recommended if you changed the intake and exhaust anyway
the ecm's do "learn" but they don't learn that big of a change
