I have tried Pirelli, Pilot Power, Q2 and Avon Viper 2 tires. The Avon Viper 2 I liked the most, I got about 8,000 miles out of them. I ride my bike on a daily basis and put a lot of miles on. I liked the way the Avon Viper performed and wanted to get a little more mileage out of my tires. So I decided to go with the Avon Storm 2 Ultra. The Storm 2 is the Viper 2 with a harder center. I am not bias toward any tire brand. The Storm 2 fits my needs.

As for the bearings. I got them at a good price, $40 for front and rear. The OEM ones cost about $35 a pair.

I dont really think I have much more stopping power, but my rotor is not warped anymore. So applying the brakes now has a more progressive feel with the new rotors. I also used the mounting hardware from Erik Buell Racing.

The CR and XB use the same wheel. So if I took the wheel off of my XB and put it on my CR, the slots on the rotor would be facing forward. If I took the wheel off of Baal's bike and installed it on my CR the slots on the rotor would be facing the rear. Im not sure which is right or wrong it just made sense to mount the rotor in the direction I did. The instuctions did not specify which direction was correct.

Aibu just want to apologize for the immature people that have to start arguments in othe people threads.

I wish I could get 8000 on a tire I think the most I've had was maybe 5000.

As to the direction of the rotor, I don't think it matters. I called Braking, and the answer was some combination of they didn't know, didn't care, it didn't matter, and "Buell?" IIRC, they finally told me that the markings on the disc should be facing outboard, which is how I have it. Visually, the other way looks more "right," but if Braking doesn't know...
