Thread: Large rubber seal around main gear change

    Hello,

    In the process of cleaning my crankcase I think I have damaged the big seal on the main gear. If you look at the picture below, the damage is at about 4 o'clock. Will I have to change it?

    If I do, how do I remove it? It seems pretty stuck...

    yes you should change it.you can borrow a seal puller from your local autozone.you can use a screwdriver but be careful.
