I think I just seen a post where someone said valves or rings.
I've got a 2004 12r with Hawk exhaust, K&N, race map and breather re-route. When I did all the mods a few months ago, it was smooth and ran perfectly. I got mostly a liquid in the breather catch can with a little bit of thick white crud. Now the bike isn't running as smoothly and I'm getting A LOT of white crud in the can. Any ideas?

White usually means water in the oil....
That doesn't sound good. Maybe just from more humidity in the air? It has been raining a bit here.
Do you park outside and uncovered??
Take a look at your swing arm dipstick. What color is the oil?
Jake, are you leaning toward water? I thought I read somewhere on the forum that was water in the oil?Do you park outside and uncovered??
It is garage kept. It stays outside maybe once every few weeks when the weather is good and I stay with the girlfriend. The oil color looks just fine inthe dipstick. It's just more thick white buildup in the can.
My gunk is kinda chocolate milk colored. Some one told me once to warm it up longer before I ride. I let her warm up while I gear up, and do a little pre ride inspection. Probably a 3-5 mins. Since I started doing that the gunk has lessened. My catch can is currently clear so I can check it at a glance. It seems to fill the most right out of the gate and when its cold.
I am not saying thats your issue but worth a mention.
Did you recently do an oil change? Maybe too much oil...?
Take a picture and post. I am going with: It is 100% normal. Just the condensation caused by temp changes and I would not worry about it at all esp seeing as your oil is a normal color and the bike runs fine. Also it isn't an indication of a head gasket because she is air cooled
